How to Add and Manage Project Tags

How to create, edit, and manage project tags in your Prophetic pipeline using Pipeline Settings.

Written by Mikaila McLane

Project tags let you label deals with attributes that cut across pipeline stages — things like market name, product type, priority level, or owner status. Tags are fully customizable per org and can be managed directly in the platform by Pipeline Administrators.

How to Add or Edit Tags

  1. Head to your Pipeline view

  2. Click Settings in the top right area of the Pipeline

  3. Select Manage Project Tags — from here you can add new tags and edit existing ones

💡 Tip: After adding a new tag, do a quick browser refresh if it doesn't appear right away when tagging a project.

Applying Tags to Projects

Once tags are created, you can apply them to any project directly from the project card or project detail view. Projects can have multiple tags at once — useful for labeling a deal by both market and product type, for example.

Filtering Your Pipeline by Tag

Use the tag filter in your pipeline view to narrow down to a specific subset of deals — everything in a given market, everything flagged as high priority, or everything where outreach hasn't started yet. Filters can be combined with stage filters for even more precision.

Who Can Manage Tags

Tag management is available to Pipeline Administrators in your org. If you don't see the Settings option in your Pipeline view, you may not have Pipeline Administrator access — reach out to your org admin or contact Prophetic Support and we can help.
