Send Letter lets you reach landowners directly from Prophetic — without leaving the platform, without manually looking up addresses, and without a separate mailing vendor. Letters are handwritten by machine through our handwritten letter vendor, which means they look and feel like a personal note rather than a mass mailer. Open rates are significantly higher than printed direct mail.
How to Send a Letter
Click any parcel to open the property panel, then select Send Letter. Prophetic pre-fills the owner's mailing address from the county record. From there:
Choose a card style from your available templates
Write your message in the text field — keep it personal and brief, as cards have a character limit
Review the recipient address and confirm it's correct
Hit Send — the letter is queued for handwriting and mailing
Each letter uses one letter credit from your organization's credit pool.
Sending from a Project
You can also send letters in bulk from a project. Open a project in LRM, select the parcels you want to contact, and use the Send Letter option from the project toolbar. This is useful when you're working an assemblage or targeting a group of adjacent parcels and want to reach multiple owners at once.
Card Styles and Templates
Your organization can have multiple card styles available — different designs for different contexts (introductory outreach, follow-up, seasonal, etc.). To set a default card style so you don't have to select it every time, see Setting a Default Card Style in Send Letter.
Viewing Sent Letter History

Credits and Billing
Each letter sent uses one letter credit. Credits are shared across your organization and are added by the Prophetic team — they don't reload automatically. To check your balance, open the Send Letter window and your available credits display before you send. To request more credits, contact your account manager. A Note on Address Accuracy
Prophetic pulls the mailing address from the county assessor record, which is the address the owner has on file for tax purposes. This is usually the most reliable address for reaching a landowner — more reliable than the property address, which may be vacant land. That said, always review the address before sending, especially on older records or parcels with recent ownership changes.
